Building the Future for Enterprise, Alabama’s Youth
Vulcan Steel Structures is proud to support the expansion of athletic infrastructure at Enterprise High School in Enterprise, AL through our partnership with Whaley Construction on a dynamic new multipurpose indoor facility.
Located adjacent to the school’s football stadium, the estimated $14.8 million project is designed to serve a wide range of student programs and athletic teams. Once completed, the facility will feature full 100-yard indoor practice field, a modern weight room, dedicated locker rooms and a multi-use space for the Big Blue Marching Band and JROTC programs

Designed with long-term performance and versatility in mind, the facility includes three custom metal building structures:
-
Gable clear span measuring 190’-4” wide x 338’-4” long x 50’-0” eave, partially open on both endwalls and one sidewall
-
Lean-to structure measuring 37’-2” wide x 338’-4” long x 21’ eave at the high side, fully enclosed
-
Gable clear span measuring 59’ wide x 119’-5” long x 16’-9” eave, also fully enclosed
Wall systems include a mix of brick veneer, reverse rolled PBR panels, and 16” Masterline architectural panels, combining durability with aesthetic appeal. Insulation in Buildings 2 and 3 is provided by others, while Building 1 is non-insulated by design to accommodate its open-air function.
“Metal buildings are incredibly adaptable, which makes them a smart choice for schools,” said Steve Browning, CEO of Vulcan Steel Structures. “Whether it’s for athletics, fine arts, training, or storage, steel buildings provide the durability and design flexibility schools need to support students now and into the future.”
This state-of-the-art complex is expected to be completed in September 2025 and will become a central hub for student development, school pride, and community engagement.
Vulcan Steel Structures is honored to play a part in bringing this impactful facility to life for Enterprise, AL community.
